Cocoaheads Accessibility presentation

My 2017 speaking schedule kicked off at the February meeting of my local Cocoaheads chapter.

In this talk, entitled Eye on Accessibility, I hoped to convey the importance of accessibility and present practical approaches that designers and developers can use to ensure they adequately support the accessibility features of iOS.

Also presenting at this meeting was my good pal Mike Hay who's excellent talk on Rapid Application Development should not be missed.

Exciting Keynote for iOS update

If you've ever tried prototyping app screen designs using Keynote for iOS, then you'll understand why the highlighted feature is so exciting.

Prior to this update, Keynote for iOS would only play slide decks in landscape orientation. For traditional users of Keynote, this seemed like a logical restriction, but for app prototyping, it was quite the impediment. To get around this, you had to rotate all your slides 90° to simulate how they would appear in portrait orientation.
